On March 21, 2015 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “Pastoral ministry of Honorary Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan Philaret in Belarus”

Artist: Alexander Blintsov. Designer: Yelena Medved. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: oval 131/2. Size of the stamp in the souvenir sheet: 40x56 mm. Size of the souvenir sheet: 107x87 mm.While printing the souvenir sheet they used the technology of thermal stamping by metalized foil of golden colour. Print quantity: 17.000 souvenir sheets.

The souvenir sheet was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin”.

Metropolitan Philaret (born as Kirill Vakhromeyev on March 21, 1935 in Moscow) is the Orthodox Church leader of Belarus. On October 16, 1989 he became the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, a permanent member of the Holy Synod of
the Russian Orthodox Church and the chairman of the Synod of the Belarusian Exarchate. Beginning from 1992 Philaret was the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus and Holy Archimandrite of the Saint Assumption monastery in Zhyrovichy. In 2013 he became the Honorary Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.

 The project was prepared in cooperation with the Belarusian Exarchate of the Moscow Patriarchate.
