2017 September 27, a postage stamp dedicated to the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to be issued
The Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was formed on December 8, 1832. Before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War more than 600 officers and generals of the highest military qualification were trained at the Academy. During the war, 63 pupils of the Academy became Heroes of the Soviet Union. For the merits in the training of military personnel, the Academy was awarded the Order of Suvorov I degree (1945); The Order of Lenin (1968); the Order of the Red Banner of Battle (1986); nine orders of foreign states.
On the postage stamp the building and the Heraldic sign of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are depicted.
