On October 12, 2017 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamps “Merry Christmas!” and “Happy New Year!”.
Design: Tatyana Kuznetsova. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 13. Size of the stamps: 52x37 mm. Sheets composition: 6 (2x3) stamps. Size of the sheets: 132x137 mm. Print quantity: 60.000 stamps each.
The stamps were printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian Printing House Publishing Co.”.
Face value A is equal to the tariff of a letter up to 20 gram within Belarus.
Face value N is equal to the surface tariff of a postcard abroad.

A sheetlet is also issued. Sheetlet composition: 4 (2 sets) stamps. Size of the sheetlet: 132x100 mm. Print quantity: 12.000 sheetlets.
Christmas and New Year are holidays that adults and children love and are looking forward to. A decorated New Year tree, funny performances and gifts create a unique festive atmosphere.
The stamps were prepared according to children's drawings — by Maxim Lagun and Anastasia Shulzhik. The illustration on the First Day Cover is made by Nicka Belskaya.
