The history of State Control of modern Belarus begins with the proclamation of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. In January 1919 the Commissariat of State Control was created, which became the first financial control body of Soviet Belarus. Since then State Control in Belarus has undergone many changes. It has passed the stages of formation and reforms.
Today the supreme audit institution of the country is the State Control Committee. The main task of the department is to ensure the economic security of the state. Almost all sectors of the economy and social sphere belong to the sphere of its interests.
The stamp and special postmark are based on the emblem of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in cooperation with which the project was prepared.
