On June 28, 2020 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “Shklow” of the series “Towns of Belarus”.

A series continuation. Beginning Nos.1032, 1153, 1207, 1214, 1261, 1274, 1312 and 1318. Design: Yauheniya Biadonik. Print process: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforations: comb 13. Stamp size: 52x29,6 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2x3) stamps. Sheet size: 130x120 mm. Print quantity: 36.000 stamps.

Shklow is a city in the Mogilev region of the Republic of Belarus, the administrative centre of the Shklow district. It is located on the right bank of the Dnieper river. For the first time it was mentioned in written sources at the beginning of the 16th century.
Monuments of history and architecture have been preserved in Shklow. The most famous is the Town Hall, which was built at the end of the 18th century. One of the symbols of the city is a monument to a cucumber erected in 2007.
