Series Lighthouses of Russia. Tsypnavoloksky and Teribersky Lighthouses.

On October 15, stamps dedicated to the Tsypnavoloksky and Teribersky Lighthouses will go into postal circulation in the Lighthouses of Russia series.

The Teribersky LighthouseThe Tsypnavoloksky Lighthouse

The Tsypnavoloksky Lighthouse was built in 1896 on the northeastern top end of the Rybachy Peninsula on the Tsypnavolok Cape; sea routes that connect the ports of the Kola Bay, the White Sea and Siberian rivers with Western countries run past the lighthouse.

The Teribersky Lighthouse located on the northwestern top end of the oblong stony Kola Peninsula was put into operation in 1896.

The postal stamps provide images of the Tsypnavoloksky Lighthouse against the background of the Rybachy Peninsula of the Murmansk Region of the Kola Peninsula and a wind diagram; and the Teribersky Lighthouse against the background of the Murmansk coast of the Kola Peninsula and a wind diagram.

Face value: 40 rubles.
Stamp size: 42×30 mm, sheet size: 146×176 mm.
Emission form: sheets with 15 (3×5) stamps
Quantity: 135 thousand each stamp (9 thousand each sheet).

In addition to the issue of the postal stamps, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Murmansk as well as maxi-cards and an illustrated envelope with postal stamps, a label and a First Day Cover with a cancel for Murmansk inside.
