On March 21, 2015 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “175th birth anniversary of Francishak Bahushevich”.

Artist: Tatyana Dolskaya. Design: Tatyana Kuznetsova. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2: 13. Size of the stamp: 40x28 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2x3) stamps. Size of the sheet: 100x106 mm.

Print quantity: 48.000 stamps.

Face value “N” is equal to the surface tariff of a postcard abroad.

The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin”.

Historical reference: Francishak Bahushevich (born 21.03.1840 in the village of Svirany, ViIna region (now Lithuania) — died 28.04.1900) was a Belarusian poet, writer, publicist and translator. He took part in the national liberation uprising of 1863-1864. In his books of poetry "Dudka Belaruskaya", 1891 (Belarusian Pipe), "Smyk Belaruski", 1894 (Belarusian Bow) and others he showed the original character of Belarusian people, justified their right to the state sovereignty and independence, to develop the Belarusian language and culture.
