On October 4, a stamp dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the All-Russian Society of Saving on Waters was put into postal circulation

On April 4 (16) of 1866, on the initiative of Kronstadt sailors, the Society for Helping in Shipwrecks was founded in Russia, chaired by Vice-Admiral Konstantin Posyet. On March 7 (19), 1872, the first meeting of the Society members took place, and since when this date is considered the day of its establishment. In 1890, the organization was renamed into the Water Rescue Society, and in 1892, it was referred to as the Imperial Russian Water Rescue Society.

The present All-Russian Society of Saving on Waters was reestablished on March 31, 1970. A network of the Society's production enterprises was arranged to set up the production of small-size collapsible swimming pools and emergency rescue equipment.

The postage stamp provides images of VOSVOD membership badges of different times.
