Invasive species are resettled species whose spread threatens the local biodiversity. Many invasive species are dangerous because they have no natural enemies and competitors in the new habitat, so the number of invasive organisms is growing.

Box elder and wild cucumber presented on postage stamps are characterized by rapid growth and reproduction: annually they produce abundant self-seeding, thereby displacing local plants more and more from their habitat.

Spinycheek crayfish carries crayfish plague. It poses a threat to the destruction of the crayfish population of the Republic of Belarus.

Chinese sleeper displaces other species and reduces their numbers: it eats juvenile fish, large invertebrates and amphibians.
