Archcathedral Catholic Church of the Name of Blessed Virgin Mary is the main catholic church in Minsk. It is cathedral of the Minsk-Magiliow Archdiocese.
The temple was built in 1700–1710 as a church attached to a Jesuit monastery, which is why it is also known as the Jesuit church.
In 1798, after Minsk became part of the Russian Empire and the Minsk diocese was founded, it received the status of a cathedral and was named after the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The project was prepared in cooperation with the Minsk-Magiliow Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Republic of Belarus.
