On September 12, 2023 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the postage stamp “Savior Not Made by Hands. 19th century” of the series “Belarus Icon Painting”.

The Church in the name of the Holy Blessed Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky in Minsk was built in 1898 according to the project of the architect V.I. Strujew. It is a memorial church in honor of the fallen soldiers - participants of the Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878.
The icon "Savior Not Made by Hands", painted on canvas by the famous Russian artist Nikolai Ge, is especially revered. The icon was given to the church by a parishioner at the beginning of the 20th century.
The project was prepared in cooperation with the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
