The postage stamps represent popular folk dances of Belarus and Armenia.
Belarusian folk dance “Liavonikha” got its name from the song of the same name, which tells the story of a young guy named Liavon and his girlfriend Liavonikha. It is performed in pairs with solo variations. The dance is dynamic and cheerful.
Armenian folk dance “Berd” is similar to the “dome game” (Gmbetakhagh in Armenian), which was common in the Vaspurakan region of historical Armenia. This is a sacred defensive dance. An obligatory element of the dance is to create a fortress (“berd” in Armenian), when dancers create a two-storey wall, climbing on each other's shoulders.
