On November 10, 2023 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “225 years since the birth of Adam Mickiewicz”.

Design: Yauheniya Biadonik. Print process: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforations: frame  13:131/2. Stamp size: 37х52 mm. Souvenir sheet size: 93х80 mm. The technology of thermal stamping with metalized foil of black colour is used on the souvenir sheet. Print quantity: 10.000 souvenir sheets.

Adam Mickiewicz (December 24, 1798 – November 26, 1855) – poet, translator, playwright, teacher, political publicist, figure in the Polish national movement, one of the organizers of the secret societies of Philomaths and Philarets.

The first work “City Winter” was published in 1818.

Mickiewicz's poetry was of great importance for the Belarusian and Polish national liberation movements, for the development of democratic thought and the restoration of literature. It enriched the literary language, versification and poetic genres.

The project was prepared in cooperation with the House-Museum of Adam Mickiewicz in Navagrudak.

The sculptor of the monument to Adam Mickiewicz is Valerian Yanushkevich.
