Pushkin Aleksandr Sergeevich (May 26 (June 6), 1799 Moscow – January 29 (February 10) 1837) – Russian poet, playwright, prose writer, historian, literary critic and journalist. The creator of the modern Russian literary language.

225th birth anniversary of the great Russian poet is celebrated in 2024. In honor of this event, Belarus and Russia carried out a joint issue of postage stamps.

There are illustrations for the novel in verse “Eugene Onegin” on a postage stamp and coupon. There are illustrations for the poem “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” on the First Day Cover.
