On December 3, two postage stamps dedicated to the New Year holiday were put into postal circulation

New Year is the most amazing and truly much-loved holiday. January 1 opens a new magical page in life for each of us filled with vivid impressions, unforgettable journeys, discoveries, achievements and long-awaited meetings.

In Russia, no New Year's Eve is complete without Snegurochka (Snow Maiden). This fairy-tale beauty is the embodiment of purity, youth, merry-making and she makes the winter holiday more colorful and joyful. Together with her forest friends - hares, foxes, squirrels, hedgehogs and bear cubs - she arranges delicious tea parties, helps Father Frost to distribute gifts and sweets to children, do circle dances, play and have fun.
