Hildasay is a small, uninhabited island located in the Shetland Islands, off the West Coast of the Shetland mainland in Scotland. Hildasay has been uninhabited since the late nineteenth century so there is absolutely no purpose for stamps to be made. Hildasay Shetland Island (sometimes just called Shetland Island stamps) are bogus labels which were created and produced for or by Clive Feigenbaum and existed solely to separate collectors from their money as there has never existed any valid need for a local postal service. They are therefore not British Locals according to the rules set out for what legitimate British Local stamps are used for and can only be considered as bogus labels.
