BELIZE [Belize] — the former British colony under the name. British Honduras in Central America, in the Eastern part of the Peninsula of Yucatan. In 1973, renamed to Belize. Independence proclaimed 21.09.1981. First stamps — overprint-new name (eng.) on stamps of British Honduras— released in 1973. In 1974 the series was reissued with the new name of the country. Commemorative stamps were issued from 1973, the first in 1977, postage stamps — 1976.

BENI [Beni province, Bolivia, South America]. In 1946 for all mailings within the province introduced a mandatory tax. BENIN [Benin], people's Republic of Benin (until 1975 the Republic of Dahomey) is a country in West Africa. In 1892-99 — French colony, which was renamed in 1899 in Dahomey. BERGEDORF MAIL [Bergedorf, Northern Germany, the former East Germany]. Bergedorf was the joint possession of the Hanseatic cities of Hamburg and lübeck. With 01.01.1868 — possession of Hamburg. From 1871 a part of Germany. Private stamp issued in 1861-67. On stamps — combined image halves of the arms of Lubeck and Hamburg — the emblem of the city. In the corners of the drawing - abbreviation (lat.) Liu-Rafael-Hamburg post office. There are a number of remakes. Brand 31.12.1867 withdrawn and replaced by stamps of the North German postal district. From 1872 used stamps of Germany. BERGER of LEVRO, Oscar (1826-1903) — a French bookseller from Strasburg. In 1861 produced the first list of the postage stamps and postal stationery. During 1861-64 list withstood 12 ed.

BERLIN — BRANDENBURGsee Berlin edition.

The ISSUE of BERLIN [Berlin, Germany]. After the surrender of Germany's Main postal administration Berlin in June 1945 prepared and issued a series of stamps 7 values with the image of a heraldic bear, working on the restoration of the city, the emblem of the city and others that were in circulation in the territory not only of greater Berlin, but in Brandenburg. BERMUDA [Bermuda] Islands in the North — Western part of the Atlantic ocean, a British possession. The first stamps prepared and issued by postmaster William B. Perot, in 1848. Represent the imprint of a round stamp with inscription (English). "Hamilton. Bermuda", the year of issue (changed annually until 1856) and the signature of the postmaster. Was only used on the Islands. In 1865 entered into circulation as the brand standard issue for the Islands. In 1920 issued the first commemorative stamps, 1918 — stamps war tax, 1970 — the first block.

BERN [Bern, capital of Switzerland]. Here in 1874, signed the Treaty establishing the General postal Union (since 1878 — universal postal Union — UPU). Since then, the governing bodies of the UPU is located in Bern.

"BERNE EDITION"— philatelic name brands, prepared by the German post in 1897— 99 for the colonies of New Guinea, South West Africa, Cameroon, Marshall Islands and Slovenia (edition of 800 sets). Different font size from the later overprints of stamps of these colonies. Intended to send to the Permanent Bureau of the UPU in Bern as samples.

BETA HASSANI— at the beginning of the century the monetary unit of Morocco equal to 100 musenet.

BHOPAL [Bhopal] — the former feudal Principality in British India. Own stamps were issued in 1876-1908. Until 1903 the name of the Principality on the stamps were not identified, were placed only the name of the Prince. All stamps withdrawn 01.07.1908. From 1908 to 1949 produced and used for official correspondence service stamps. Withdrawn in 1950.
