BRUNEI [Brunei] — a Sultanate in the Northern part of the island of Kalimantan (Borneo). In 1888 a British protectorate. Independence proclaimed on 01.01.1984. Own stamps were issued in 1906. The Declaration of independence marked a memorable series. The first block released in 1971.
